Project Description
Le programme intégratif AI4ENV a pour objectif de fédérer les expertises multidisciplinaires et multiorganismes de la communauté toulousaine des sciences de l’environnement, de l’espace et de l’univers, ainsi que ses acteurs industriels.
It's goal is to explore and apply artificial intelligence methodologies to address environmental and space challenges.
The core essence of this program lies in strengthening collaborations between academic and industrial partners (research laboratories, public industrial and commercial institutions, VSEs, SMEs, and large corporations), in order to create a continuum between research and innovation.
In the short term, the program’s actions will focus on:
- Community animation through events bringing together academic and industrial partners;
- Co-funding of research engineering months for multi-partner projects (academic and industrial);
- Co-funding of multi-partner pre-doctoral internships (notably via CIFRE conventions), to strengthen the transfer of expertise from the academic world to industry.
À terme, un des objectifs de ces actions d’impulsion et de travail d’animation est de permettre l’émergence de nouvelles chaires industrielles autour de thématiques ciblées, voire de LabCom ANR.
Assisting in the search for joint funding between public and private actors, as well as increasing the TRL (Technology Readiness Level) of innovative solutions, are key pillars of this integrative program.
Regarding chairs, the program currently relies on three of them: ExplEarth, PiLearnWater and RELEO.
The steering committee of this program is composed of 10 representatives from academic laboratories, 6 representatives from private companies (VSEs, SMEs, large corporations), and one representative from a public industrial and commercial institution (EPIC). This committee is expected to evolve based on interactions, with partial renewals every 18 months.
