ANITI’s digital training offer is based on reusable H5P micro-content called Nuggets, developed within the NaaS (Nuggets as a Service) ecosystem. These Nuggets can be integrated into Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle, either via the LTI protocol or specific plugins, depending on the distribution licenses associated with each Nugget.
The challenge of the massification and democratization of Artificial Intelligence education
Training at a very large scale in Artificial Intelligence (from design to deployment and use) requires addressing several key challenges:
- Creating numerous training programs for diverse audiences with varied learning objectives;
- Regularly updating content to keep pace with the rapid evolution of AI technologies;
- Producing high-quality, certified content, particularly at a time when Generative AI tools may produce content of uncertain quality;
- Massively distributing high-quality educational content across multiple training platforms;
- Ensuring a sovereign, GDPR-compliant solution.
What is a Nugget?

Nuggets are reusable H5P micro-content modules made available to educators from partner institutions. They are designed to be easily integrated into various training programs hosted on platforms such as Moodle or any other proprietary or open-source LMS.
They are developed through a close collaboration between subject matter experts and instructional designers, ensuring high quality in both content and pedagogy. Nugget deployment is fully controlled through distribution licenses that manage usage rights granted by the authors. Centralized hosting simplifies content updates, as all Nuggets are stored on a single server that serves content across different platforms.
Learners can access Nuggets through instructional pathways defined by educators, either directly via LMS platforms or through thematic microlearning platforms like the one developed by ANITI, which aims to become a key reference in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
Each Nugget is created based on a detailed set of specifications:
- Decontextualized to enable easy reuse in different training contexts;
- Short—requiring less than 30 minutes of learning time—to facilitate quick production and integration;
- Multimedia and interactive, to boost learner engagement and improve learning effectiveness;
- Documented with metadata, to enhance discoverability within training platforms;
- Certified by the reputation of leading institutions from which the expert authors originate.
How are Nuggets produced and managed?

The NaaS ecosystem supports the entire lifecycle of Nuggets: from development and management to controlled sharing, integration, and usage tracking across various educational platforms.
Since H5P is open-source and all servers in the NaaS ecosystem are hosted in France, the solution is sovereign and fully GDPR-compliant. By centralizing the creation, management, and dissemination of Nuggets into a single online platform, NaaS greatly simplifies the development and delivery of new content, with the following goals:
- Democratizing access to high-quality content for a broad audience;
- Facilitating the design of diverse training programs through the reuse of existing Nuggets, reducing time and costs;
- Encouraging a community of contributors to co-create new Nuggets.
ANITI idigital strategy for training

ANITI’s dedicated microlearning platform for AI aims to offer a comprehensive catalog of Nugget collections:
- Created by ANITI experts and members of the EFELIA consortium;
- Produced by authors from partner institutions et certified by ANITI for their technical and pedagogical quality.
Accessible from any computer, tablet, or smartphone, this platform is intended to become a leading reference on the topic of Artificial Intelligence:
- Educators will find the resources they need to enrich their courses;
- General audiences will find accessible answers to their questions about AI, tailored to their level of knowledge.
The ANITI distribution platform will also offer hosting, management, and dissemination of commercially licensed Nuggets for professionals et lifelong learning (LLL) initiatives. This will enable various stakeholders to design their own training programs using certified content while maintaining cost control.
