ANITI has 3 main missions: scientific research, training and economic development related to AI. ANITI aims to develop a new generation of artificial intelligence called hybrid AI, integrating data driven learning techniques and symbolic or mathematical models that permit us to express constraints and to carry out logical reasoning. ANITI also has ambitious aims with regard to education and industrial development. 

ANITI is housed in three sites (the Maison de la Recherche et de la Valorisation of the University of Toulouse, the B612 building and the LAAS laboratory hosting robotics platforms) and hosts around 200 researchers from universities, engineering schools and scientific and technological research organizations in Toulouse and its region, and around 50 partners.

Rassemblant environ 200 chercheur.e.s issu.e.s des universités, écoles d’ingénieurs et organismes de recherche scientifique et technologique de Toulouse et sa région, et d’une soixantaine de partenaires. Les secteurs d’application stratégiques ciblés sont la mobilité et les transports, la robotique/cobotique pour l’industrie du futur et l’environnement.

ANITI aims to promote exchanges between industrialists who address their problems to scientists and academics in order to develop new markets and new technological applications.

ANITI fait partie des 9 IA Clusters labellisés par l’État pour une durée de 4 ans renouvelable dans le cadre de l’appel à manifestations d’intérêt « IA Cluster : pôles de recherche et de formation en intelligence artificielle ». Ces instituts travailleront en réseau avec pour objectif de faire de la France un des leaders mondiaux en intelligence artificielle.
