A Unique Training Strategy for a Diverse and Rich Offering in
Artificial Intelligence Education

The breadth and quality of the Artificial Intelligence training programs available in Toulouse—offered across its universities and engineering schools—reflect the site’s momentum and strong interdisciplinary character. Whether the goal is to train AI specialists or end-users, the ambition of the 3IA ANITI initiative (2020–2024) was to enrich this offering and double the number of students trained in AI within four years. This ambitious goal has been largely achieved.
Building on the momentum created by 3IA and further enhanced by EFELIA (2023–2028), the Education Committee of the new ANITI Cluster (2025–2030) is bringing together 51 labellised 33 master’s programs and 26 engineering tracks around a shared vision: the launch of an International Master’s in Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence in 2027.
Today, students have access to a wide range of specialization opportunities—in mathematics and computer science, robotics, neuroscience, law, economics, and the humanities, to name just a few.
In addition to strengthening initial training opportunities, ANITI’s training strategy rests on several pillars that are both complementary and innovative. Different axes are pursued in parallel, with the ambition of making AI accessible to all, while developing what is the DNA of the institute: scientific rigor.
