The Education Committee is the sole governing body for all training and educational initiatives (whether under EFELIA or the AI Cluster) in order to ensure full coherence and optimize their effectiveness.

The Education Committee is composed of 15 members representing all partner institutions and is chaired by Hélène Tap, Professor at Toulouse INP-ENSEEIHT. It meets at least three times a year to foster collaboration among teaching teams and to ensure both human and financial support for the development of AI-related training programs across all partner institutions.

The roles and responsibilities of the Education Committee are as follows:
  •  Defining the labelling charter and evaluating labelling applications,
  • Assessing training needs and identifying needs for instructors, including in interdisciplinary fields,
  • Connecting training program coordinators with researchers, PhD candidates, and postdoctoral fellows,
  • Sharing expertise in pedagogical engineering,
  • Allocating financial resources to support teaching activities,
  • Awarding merit-based scholarships,
  • Involving socio-economic stakeholders in training (through advisory boards, teaching contributions, etc.).

An annual report on the Education Committee’s activities is submitted to the ANITI Steering Committee, ensuring rigorous monitoring and continuous improvement of the project, in coordination with its research and innovation components. This structured and participatory governance enables ANITI to meet the strategic challenges of education in artificial intelligence.

The operational management of EFELIA is overseen by project manager Julie Al Atrach, under the supervision of ANITI’s Secretary General, Corinne Joffre, and the strategic guidance of Hélène Tap.

The operational team dedicated to education is composed of:
  • Julie Al Atrach, EFELIA Project Manager,
  •  David Brunet, Educational Engineering Specialist,
  •  A Training Officer (currently being recruited),
  •  An Instructional Designer (currently being renewed).
